Last week I headed west from Sydney to discover for myself another tiny part of this massive continent. After finally getting out of the Sydney City sprawl I was heading over the spectacular Blue Mountains. I soon passed through Lithgow and then headed straight for the Beautiful Wolgan Valley, a tiny town with a permanant population of only 4.

I would like to tell you all about an adventure, an adventure like no other.
An adventure that sent me on a journey, a journey of discovery, of journey discipline and a journey of patience. (A lot of Journeying!)

On the day before Australia Day every year Lake Cathie and the community around the beautiful little lake organise a race titled…
‘The Anything Goes Race’
A race that I can now say ANYTHING actually does go! So, always being up for some adventure I decided to enter this unique event.
To enter the race you must build, or attempt to build something that will get you around set course that is placed in Lake Cathie.
