I feel a bit strange tonight, my family have been quite badly affected by the Christchurch Earthquake. We are blessed that no-one in our family has lost their life. So to those who have, my deepest condolences.
Two and a half weeks ago members of my family saw their houses, businesses, personal belongings and their city literally crumble in front of their eyes. A devastating site.

Earlier this year, to raise money to help with the rebuilding of Queensland after the devastating floods, a group of like minded dudes from ProjectHorus sent the mascot from the company Linux into (near) space and back.
‘Tux’ is the mascots name. A photo of Tux in (near) space over South Australia taken during the flight as well as Tux himself was auctioned at the conference dinner. QUEENSLAND FLOOD DISASTER

A lot of people have been asking me what it was like to visit the evacuation centres in and around Brisbane on Sunday.
Every time I get asked that I think… “Where could I possibly start?”
Our day was a busy one, we flew up from Sydney, visited three Evac (evacuation) centres and then were back in Sydney by 8:00pm that night.

Hola All,
Over the two weeks Venezuela has been hit by terrible floods, many have lost homes especially in the area of Falcon State. A few people on my twitter have let me know what is going on and by the sounds of it, people are in a mad scramble to try and make sure everyone is sheltered and cared for.
