I was told by a friend yesterday to check out this little rapper called ‘Lil’ P-Nut’ on youtube.
Lil’ P-Nut has been rapping since he was 4 years old, according to him his Father taught him to rap by teaching him Maths! (Another amazing Father/Son relationship.)
He is now 7 years old and over the past 3 years Lil’ P-Nut has been improving on his skills so much that he now has his own album and fast growing fan base.
He seems like a centred, polite and charismatic lil’ man who has great …

Performing in Hi-5 tours both national and international I have had the pleasure of seeing many amazing relationships between Father and his Son(s).
Like most parent child relationships, the bond between Father and his Son(s) is very strong.
I have seen Fathers and their Sons do amazing things. Start million dollar businesses, sail around the world or simply make dinner together.
With a strong bond between two people it seems there is nothing those two people can’t do what ever they can dream up. Like climbing the highest mountain together, paving the longest road …

One of the most common questions I am asked is
“Tim, what’s your favourite Hi-5 song?”
I guess my answer is,
There are too many but if I had to choose a few…
Hi-5 Series 11 Favourites: Happy Monster Dance and Zoo Party and You’re my Teddy Bear.
Hi-5 Series 12 Favourites: Happy House, Martian Groove and Tippy Tippy Toes.

Hi-5 Songs from Series Previous:
Santa Claus is Coming, L.O.V.E, Ready or Not.
Those would be my Favourite Hi-5 Songs at this time.
But the purpose of this post is not to just give you my answer to …

The lovely people at Essential Baby interviewed the whole cast of Hi-5 recently and this is their article written by Joseph Kelly.
Have a read…
Since exploding onto Australian TV screens 11 years ago, Hi-5 have established themselves as a much loved part of Australian children’s television.  The current line-up – featuring Casey Burgess, Lauren Brant, Fely Irvine, Tim Maddren and Stevie Nicholson – have been together for over a year and are into their second season.  With a new DVD, Imagine That!, out soon, Essential Baby thought it was a good …

I would like to tell you all about an adventure, an adventure like no other.
An adventure that sent me on a journey, a journey of discovery, of journey discipline and a journey of patience. (A lot of Journeying!)
A journey that meant my living room was transformed into a land where all the lamps in the house were used balanced and angled in strange positions to get the best light situation possible, a land of focus where only the tick-tocking of a table tennis ball could be heard rebounding off rubber …

Last night I headed down to the Sydney theatre to see a show that ALL my friends have been most insistent that I go and see.
“It is the best thing you will ever see!”
That was the most common quote, now when going to a movie that I have been told is a ‘MUST SEE’ I end up having high expectations for the film and often, especially recently I end up departing the theatre underwhelmed.
On departing the Sydney Theatre last night after witnessing this ‘MUST SEE’ August: Osage County, I just …

The time was 5:30pm, the GPS was set and off we drove on our adventure to see our friend Matthew Van Hoek in his school concert.
You may already know Matthew, he was my team-mate for the 14km run I did a little over a month ago at the 2010 City2Surf. Together we raised almost $2,000 for a charity that is special to both of us The Starlight Foundation.
Matthew and his family came to support Stevie and I at our Table Tennis (Pingeddy Pongeddy) adventure a few weeks ago. So …

At 3:29pm today, I turned my Television set onto Channel Nine, sat down, put my feet up and got ready to watch Hi-5′s first episode of Series 12.
WOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
After all the hard work from many people that goes into putting a Hi-5 series together. I tell you what, it is a fantastic feeling to be able to sit, watch and realise that this series is now being shown on television. It was a great feeling to watch the first Hi-5 episode today, I felt proud for all involved.
The episode was a …

How did this Ping Pong ‘thing’ come about?
Well Stevie and I as we often do, say ‘Yes’ to many funny and ridiculous suggestions.
(These suggestions more often than not come from one of us.)
As I remember it, we were just having a casual Table Tennis game when the one of us used the ‘I’ word. This ‘I’ word nearly always means a silly but fun suggestion is about to follow.
The ‘I’ word is ‘Imagine’
“Hey dude, imagine if we entered like, a massive Table Tennis competition, a national championship. I wonder how …

Filming a Hi-5 series can be, ironically, quite a stressful time for all of us. There are a lot of lines and scenes for us to learn and perfect and unlike other productions, where there are many cast members, having just five in our cast means that we are often called on for filming each day. This in turn means there is not much down time for us over the two months or so of the filming process.
So after days upon days of line learning and rehearsing it is really …
